I hate writing Bio's because I feel like no one reads these things and therefore I go crazy trying to make it perfect when no one (I feel) actually takes the time to go through this portion. But if you so happen to be reading this right now, I'll explain who I am to you. As best as I can.
I was born in- ok I'm not going there. Me in a nutshell is; I'm a guy of many hats. To some, that might mean I'm only generally good/ok at a bunch of different things, but to me, it means I'm good at collecting hats. Currently I'm a freelance event photographer, social media creative director for different brands, and also run a small business with my brother in a non-creative field. We do paint automotive chip repairs for car dealerships in our city of Mississauga. I wont go into too much detail on that other than the fact that I started it because I do love car detailing and this was a very niche and under served market, as well as the fact I wanted to be in a self employed situation where I can manage my time without having to worry about having to ask permission to take any time off if need be. In other words, this role is supplementary to everything else I want to do.
I've been doing photography for a long time now. I mainly do event photography and my style is photo-journalistic. I love the challenge of telling stories without words (AKA photo's). As mentioned, I also do social media creative directing for different brands. Fancy title for "creates social media content". I have worked with brands such as Ford, Chrysler, Visa, Kellogs, HP, Toronto Raptors & Maple Leafs, plus many more. I find the challenge of telling stories and relaying a brands message in short forms of social media content a lot of fun. I mainly create Vines when it comes to brand work but now I'm branching out and constantly in the process of building up my personal brand on other platforms such as Instagram and SnapChat for example. Find and add me on ALL platforms by searching @Nelcam :)
This site is my hub of different projects I've worked on, inspiring stuff I come across, and lot's a cat .Gifs. Just kidding. maybe just a few.
And so that was a quick glimpse into who I am. If you happen to read this whole thing, you're awesome. Feel free to ask me anything!
