Think of how many tooth brushes this guy goes through to clean his shoes. I've seen posts and articles on this guy but only learned about his story yesterday while watching a YouTube video on Sneaker Watch.
He amazes me. His incredible shoe collection is only part of the reason why he is so interesting. He was a student in Law school who randomly came across someone at a flea market selling a bunch of sneakers for dirt cheap. He took every last penny to his name and bought the whole lot which averaged to about $15 a pair. He then sold them for around $45-80 a pair or something like that. That instantly peeked his interest from the business side and from that point, he would hunt down pair by pair and flip them and eventually ended up with a warehouse full of shoes to sell which amounted to over a million dollars worth of Nikes. You can watch the whole story below which is definitely worth watching. What really got me about his story was the transformation from focusing on the business side of things and seeing these shoes as profits, to turning everything into fulfilling his childhood dreams. I mean these items on his childhood dream checklist aren't like "be an astronaut" or "solve world hunger" but rather it was stuff like "own every garbage pale kid card" and "buy a Ford Bronco", and so on. It just so happened that apart of that checklist was to fulfill his passion for Nike sneakers. He took a passion and regardless of money, he ran with it. And because of that, he probably has the money follow him. Money is just the by-product of him living through his passion. Just as there is this 1% statistic of the richest people in the world, I believe there is a very small percentage of people out there that are doing and living off of something they love and he is definitely in that tier. I hope to meet him one day.. So I could see this Garbage Pale Kids card collection of course. (watch his story just below and a tour of the Shoezeum below that.)

 Just what I needed. A shoe show to keep stoking my on going ridiculous...ly fun and stylish habit. I got the chance to check out the long awaited "In Kix We Trust" show at the Meadowvale Hilton Hotel this Saturday May 30th. It was a great show. Good size event where you can circle the place multiple times in a short period. This proved to be a somewhat vital factor for a show like this because every new lap I did, I would see something new that I missed the first time. If you can't picture how a show like this would look, just imagine a room full of people with a shit load of shoes piled on tables everywhere. Some just for display, some for sale. On top of that, you got the patrons walking around with piles of shoes in their arms, some trying to display what they have for sale or trade, and some simply holding their newly bought 'Kix'. Saw some cool vendors and ran into a lot of awesome friends I haven't seen in a long time. My old friend Mark had a booth there displaying his dope shoe display boxes. His company is called "The Boxx Co"(www.theboxxco.com) and they specialize in custom display cases for your very own shit load of shoes you got stacked to the ceiling in crumbling shoe boxes(Like me). One of his custom 'Boxx's' has a damn flat screen TV in it with a PS4 hooked up and the shoes lining the bottom shelf of the unit. Crazy! As for myself, I was in a bit of a dilemma walking into this show. Me trying not to cop a new pair of shoes at a damn shoe show is like a smoker not having any cigarettes and standing in a room full of people smoking(I was going to say "recovering smoker" but that would imply that I'm recovering from this shoe problem I have.. Which is far from true). Not only that, but they are all smoking the coolest shit, and some just so happen to have the smokes you've always had your eye on, plus your size, plus best price around.. Ok I trailed away from that analogy just a tad. So I picked up the Red October Foams. Only after passing it like 20 times, holding it, smelling it, pretending to weigh it in my hands, trying it on, asking strangers what they thought, and checking other tables and seeing they all have them for at least $100 more and they aren't even in my size. Absolutely love this pair and I'm happy I finally have them. I came to the show rocking the Kobe 9 Christmas's because it felt just like that being there. But not like Christmas at your family's house where you open all of your own gifts. More like being at a relatives house and watching all your cousins with all their cool ass gifts that you just wish you had. Anyways, bottom line? Dope show, can't wait for the next. Peep the pics below. I'm done rambling! #ForNow  June 2015 is going to be a hurtful one for the pockets of sneaker heads all over. Some big heaters are being released for this summer, like the Kobe X Rose Golds, and the Jordan 7 Champ Pack. Also for the Adidas fans, the Triple white Ultra Boosts and the Yeezy 350 Boost Lows are all dropping in the same month. That's still less than half of the shoe's that are dropping this June but those I mentioned are the ones I'd be after! Oh yeah and the damn Kobe X HTM lows..ugh. The big ticket for June is the Jordan 7 Champ Pack. Two pairs dubbed "Cigar" & "Champagne" which is named in light of Jordan's second Championship in a row with the Bulls in 1992. Hence the Jordan 7 silhouette since the 7 came out in 92'. This pack follows the first Champ pack from last year on the Jordan 6 silhouette which I completely missed out on. I am not one to buy sneakers if not at a retail level because I'm not one to easily justify dropping inflated collectors prices. But if I end up with a chance at this years Champ pack, I might go digging for the 6's. Take a look at some of the images below for a few of the little droplets of June. That sounded nasty.
