I Was Never a Big AF1 Fan But..

.. The very very first AF1 is being re-released. So it's a big deal. Click "Read More" for more pictures!

It may come to some as a surprise that I would admit to not being the biggest AF1 fan but it's true. I don't hate them and in fact, it's grown on me a lot over the years. I've just never gotten so excited about any specific AF1 drop. That's until I read about this drop. The most iconic silhouette ever, modeled in the very first AF1 (released) design ever, is being re-released this weekend. "Surprise!" -Nike. Who knows why they decided to do this. Either way, it's pretty exciting to get this opportunity at owning a new pair of the very first Nike AF1 model ever. Even the "Nike AIR" on the heel is in the original block lettering.

1982 was the debut of this legendary model as shown in the picture to the right. The picture on the right I believe was a prototype as it shows a mesh toe where as the production version was leather.  I'm a sucker for a great history behind something especially with sneakers. I love when a design has meaning besides colors working well with each other. In this case, the history behind this very model alone is enough for me to want a pair. It's beyond the look or design for that matter. It's scheduled to release this Saturday June 13th 2015. Hope to get my hands on a pair! Check out the pictures below.
